James L. Price

James Leroy Price, 69, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at his residence in Phenix City, Alabama.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 13, 2021, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama with Reverend Ricky Ward officiating. The internment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at the funeral home.

James was born on August 18, 1951, in Troy, AL, the son of James H. Price and Winnie Dale Mills Price. He worked for The Concrete Company as a truck driver for many years. James was Christian by faith. He was a hard-working family man that loved his children and grandchildren. James was very friendly and seemed to never meet a stranger. He was an avid TIDE fan and enjoyed fishing. James will always be remembered as a family man that would help anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his life partner, Barbara Jean Pope.

He is survived by two daughters, Misty Dawn Price and Debbie Wynn; four sons, Jacob Price, Joseph Price, Michael Price and Donald (Christine) Grimes; brother, Danny Price; four granddaughters, Haley, Chloe, Hannah, and Sarah; three grandsons, Brian, Lester, and Grady; great-granddaughter, Sophia; great-grandson, Liam; as well as several extended family and caring friends.
