James R. “Bobby” Haden

James R. “Bobby” Haden, 65, of Phenix City, AL died at Phenix City Health Care, Phenix City, AL on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2020 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Pastor Chuck Odum officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Bobby was born January 30, 1955 in Ft. Benning, GA son of the late Archie Haden and Christine Wells Haden Snyder. He was a premier paint and body man working with Bill Heard and Ray’s Body Shop among others before opening his own shop with his lifelong friend and bonus brother Bennie Dubberly, Auto Graphixs. Bobby loved Alabama Football, NASCAR, riding motorcycles and Bar-B-Queuing, often entered BBQ contest, placing several times. Bobby enjoyed collecting different items, old cars, working to restore them in his spare time. He will be remembered by his friends and family for his love and devotion to them, especially the love of his life and wife of 46 years and their love story. Bobby’s memories will forever be cherished in our hearts and often shared.
Mr. Haden was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Billy Haden and a special mother-in-law who loved him like a son, Lola Morton.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Elsie England Haden, Phenix City, AL; three children, Crystal Haden, James “Scooter” Haden (Bobbie) and Marcus Shane Haden all of Phenix City, AL; sister, Cheryll Cottrell; five special grandchildren, Chloe and Hannah Petty, Hunter Brown, Heath and Michael Meroney; seven precious great-grandchildren, Hunter, Alexis, Hayden, Holleigh, Lane, Braden, Jase and future great-granddaughter Lennon; his “best friend” Sassy; several other family members and close friends also survive.
