James Richard Delph

James Richard Delph, better known as “The Tree Doctor”, age 59, resident of Smiths Station, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center Columbus.
Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, October 09, 2021, 4:00 (EST) at his daughter’s home with Carl Newsome officiating.

Jimmy, son of the late Richard Vernon Delph and Frances Mary Palmer, was born February 21, 1962 in Gary, Indiana. He loved his work and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved step mother Ruth Delph, his son, Michael “Mike” James Delph; three sisters, Bernie Crabtree, Cynthia Miller, and Marsha Fussell; brother, Michael Delph; and step-brother, Lonnie Parcel.
Jimmy is survived by one daughter, Jessica Delph of Phenix City, Alabama; one son, Chris Delph of Cusseta, Georgia; five sisters, Kathy Waclawik, Rosie Franklin, Sandy Campbell, Anita Dunaway and Leeann Vincent; one brother, Joe Fussell; one grandson, Corbin Delph; former spouse, Connie McCarty; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
