James Steven Vann, Jr., 50, of Phenix City, AL was called to Heaven on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
A private Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Steve was born June 18, 1973 in Phenix City, AL son of the Rev. James Steven Vann, Sr. and Sherry Wofford Vann. He had worked for AT&T for over 30 years as a technician. One of the areas he was responsible for was the 911 building in Columbus, GA. He was a member of the Rock Baptist Church which is now called Church in the County. He had a heart of gold and was always giving generously to others. Steve led his life in a manner that put others first, thus following Christ example of putting others first. While his departure was not expected, we take great comfort in knowing we will see him again one day in Heaven.
Steve was preceded in death by is maternal grandparents, Claude and Zola Wofford; his paternal grandparents, Dalton and Grace Rhodes Vann; aunt, Jo Ellen Cathy Vann; and an uncle, Larry Wofford.
Survivors other than his parents, Rev. Steve and Sherry Vann, Phenix City, AL, include his four children, Taylor Vann, Cee Jay Vann, Max Vann, and Nathan Vann; two siblings, Sandra Vann Tribby (Matt), S.C. and Stacy Vann (Danielle), Midland, GA; one aunt, Sue Wofford; nieces and nephews, Kaitlin, Carson, Cameron and Elliott; several other family members and friends.
