Jamie Fincher, age 49, resident of Opelika, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama on Friday, January 27, 2023, 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Jammie Holloway and Reverend Eugene Leverett officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday, January 27, 2023.
Mr. Fincher, son of the late Billy Wayne Fincher and Margie Sue Smith Fincher, was born October 31, 1973 in Phenix City, Alabama. He was the Owner of Dixie Timber and Baptist by faith. Mr. Fincher enjoyed logging, turkey hunting, and deep-sea fishing. He enjoyed classic country music, but most of all he enjoyed spending quality time with his daughter, nieces, and nephews. The family remembers him as a man who lived a good life, always willing to help anyone, and kindhearted to all.
He is survived by one daughter, Gracie Fincher of Phenix City; one sister, Ginger Fincher and her husband Trey Birdsong of Phenix City; two brothers, Jason Fincher of Opelika and Todd Fincher and his wife Kristen Fincher, also of Opelika; his best friend, Christy Fincher Norris of Phenix City; nephews, Zack Fincher, Blake Fincher, Wyatt Fincher, and Owen Birdsong; nieces, Abbie Fincher, Jilian Fincher, Brennan Fincher, and Lily Fincher; numerous great-nieces and nephews; many other special relatives and wonderful friends.
