Jane Bennett

Jane Herrington Bennett, 77, of Pittsview, AL passed away Wednesday June 6, 2018.

A private graveside service will be held at 11:00 am EDT (10:00 am CDT) on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Hatchechubbee United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Blythe Ethridge officiating.

Mrs. Bennett was born January 20, 1941 in Enterprise, AL, daughter of the late Namon Herrington and Bruneze Farris Herrington.  She worked as a teacher’s aide and in administration at McInnis School in Montgomery, AL for many years. 

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Larry Dean Bennett, Sr.; one sister, Peggy Stokes, and her granddaughter’s husband, Tyler Grooms.

She is survived by two daughters, Pam Bennett of Pittsview, AL and Catherine Lipscomb of Phenix City, AL; one son, Larry D. Bennett, Jr. of Montgomery, AL; three grandchildren, Mallory Grooms, Dylan Lipscomb and Jacob Bennett; two great-grandchildren, Baylor and Ty Grooms; extended family and caring friends.
