Linda Jane Pollock Wilson, 73,of Salem, AL died while at East Alabama Medical Center, Auburn, AL with her family by her side.

A Private Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Ms. Wilson was born June 15, 1951 in Fayetteville, TN daughter of the late John Pollock and Frances Clanton Pollock. She was a member of Landmark Church of the Nazarene, Phenix City, AL where she enjoyed worshiping and volunteering. Ms. Wilson had retired from Newell Rubbermaid after several years in Customer Service. She enjoyed reading, watching her “Soaps” and being with family.

We will remember her as being a social butterfly who never met a stranger. A conquering trip to the store always turned into a social event. She was always smiling and gracious to those around her. Our mom was also a willing and gracious caregiver to her husband and a family friend. She also loved to be involved in the community and was always volunteering. Thank you for the great foundation of love and kindness that has been left for us.

Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances Pollock and her husband, Charles Wilson.

Survivors include her three children, Brian West, Matthew “Matt” Wilson and Jennifer McDonald; one sister, Jean Jones and one brother, Brian Valkyrie; six grandchildren, McKinley, Mary Barton, Madeline, Toben, Brady and Olivia; one great-granddaughter on the way; nieces, nephews and friends.
