Janice Elaine Hutson

Janice Elaine Hutson, 69, of Hamilton, GA passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 at the Columbus Hospice House.  A memorial service will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Friday, June 21, 2019 beginning at 12:00 PM with Pastor Jimmy McClain officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday, June 21, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, two hours prior to the service.

Janice was born on June 4, 1950 in Newman, CA to the late Bert and Lorene Simmons.  She was employed at Wells Fargo Advisors as a Stockbroker Certified Financial Planner and was a faithful member of the Shield of Faith church in Phenix City, AL.  Her giving heart and love for the Lord were expressed each and every day of her life.  Janice enjoyed working in the community, and whenever someone was in need, she would go out of her way to help.  This exceptional woman was proud of her Cherokee heritage, enjoyed gardening, and always loved learning new things.  Janice will be greatly missed but her love, kindness, and legacy will be forever cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.

Other than her parents, Janice is preceded in death by her sister, Patsy Crawford and brother, Burton Simmons.

Survivors include her loving and dedicated spouse of 50 years, Manfred Hutson; daughter, Kim Stanley (Clay) of Eastman, GA; son, Scott Hutson (Lisa) of Linden, TN; sisters, Willene Domenichelli (Bill) of Potter Valley, CA, Ginger Clover of Ukiah, CA, Debbie Renati of Cotafi, CA; brother, Tommy Simmons (Alice) of Ukiah, CA; six grandchildren, Megan Alford, Taylor Alford, Drew Stanley, Grif Stanley, all of Eastman, GA; Hunter Hutson and Haley Hutson, both of Linden, TN; one great-grandchild, Allie Alford of Eastman, GA.
