Janice Marie Spears

Janice Marie Adams Spears, 68, of Columbus, GA passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in the comfort of her home in Columbus, GA.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 pm EDT Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Pastor John Burnett officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenx City.

Janice was born February 16, 1947 in Columbus, GA to the late Johnnie Adams and Ollie Bell McLendon Adams.  She had worked with the Bibb Mill in Columbus, GA and also served as Pharmacy Tech with Walmart in Columbus, GA. She enjoyed spending time with family, and grandchildren, and talking on the phone with her sister, Margaret.  She was a member of Hilton Terrace Baptist Church.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. “Buddy” Spears, Jr.; sisters, Eunice Howell, Mary Goodson Mann, and Shirley Jenkins Watson, brothers, Jerry Adams and Billie Adams.

She is survived by two daughters, Jenny Folds and husband Brian, and Mary Ann Steinsberger and husband Fredrick all of Columbus, GA; one sister, Margaret Johns and husband Gene, and one brother, R C Adams and wife Betty all of Crawford, AL

(7) Grandchildren, Jonathan Morris (Holly), Dylan Steinsberger (Casey), Valerie Alysha (Eric), Zachary Steinsberger, Kaeleah Steinsberger, Tiffany Folds, and Nathan Folds, (4) great grandchildren, Kynlea, Cole, Connor, and Leland, numerous other loving family members and many friends.
