Jason Daniel Zastrow, 42, of Phenix City, AL died at Midtown, Columbus Piedmont, Columbus, GA on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
A private Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date in Minnesota and Alaska, according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Jason was born December 23, 1978 in Forest Lake, MN son of Daniel J Zastrow and Julie Mross Fulir. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed every moment with them. Jason’s time with us was far too brief, but he has left a lasting impression on our hearts. Jason moved to Alaska with his parents when he was 5. He grew up in Alaska and has so many friends who he kept in contact with all these years. Jason loved to talk and would spend hours on the phone talking to those closest with him. He constantly said I just want everyone to be happy and would do anything to make that happen, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Jason loved to travel and made several trips between Seattle, Anchorage, California, Chicago, and Minnesota, to visit his friends and family. In his early adult life, promoting Josh Boots and Artic Flow Records was a big part of his life. His latest endeavor was to work for his good friend Nick Holbrook in a couple businesses he owned until his health took a turn for the worst. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his parents, of Daniel J Zastrow, Lino Lakes, MN and Julie Mross Fulir (Mladen), Phenix City, AL; one sister, Carissa Poirier-Marks (Brandon) and very special niece who he loved so much, Caliana Holt; and numerous other family members and friends.
