Mrs. Jeanette A. Brown Fraser

Mrs. Jeanette A. Brown Fraser, 87, of Phenix City, Al. died peacefully at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA on Friday, July 23, 2021 with her family by her side.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm (EST) on Monday, July 26, 2021 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Donny Brown officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, July 25, 2021, from 2:00 till 4:00 PM (EST) at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fraser was born February 1, 1934 in Bullock County, AL, daughter of the late William Owen Austin and Florie Bell Pitts Austin.  She worked at Cobb Memorial Hospital in Phenix City for many years and retired Civil Service from Fort Benning, GA.  Mrs. Fraser loved volunteering and was a lifetime member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1482 Phenix City, AL.  She loved crafts of all kinds, cooking and baking, the Braves and Westerns. But what she loved more than anything else in life was spending time with her family, her friends and especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Fraser was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Louis C. Fraser and Bobby Leo Brown; a sister, Mary Emma Harden; brothers, Charles William Austin, Wylie Nix Austin; daughters-in-law Michelle Brown and Kathy Brown.

Survivors include her sons, Denny Brown (Donna), Doug Brown, Danny Brown (Tracy), Donny Brown (Pam); a brother, Dennis Crawford Austin; grandchildren, Ashley Sowers (Tim), Dane Brown (Abbi), Megan Nellist (Marc), Ryan Brown, Luke Brown, Dylan Brown (Kayla); great-grandchildren Bryce Richey, Peyton Sowers, Reese Brown, Ella Brown and Nate Brown.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to special family friends, Darrell Cochran and Catherine Paulshock, and grandson Luke Brown for assisting with her care this past year.
