Mr. Jeff Nicholson

Mr. Jeff Nicholson, 73, of Phenix City, AL passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Phenix City, AL.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm est Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL, with Rev. Grant Parker officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Nicholson was born February 28, 1948 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Clarence Nicholson, Sr. and Annie Will Thornton Nicholson.  He retired as the Operations Director at the Valley Rescue Mission in Columbus, GA.  Mr. Nicholson enjoyed drawing, woodworking and fishing.  He also loved listening to music and singing southern gospel.  Mr. Nicholson was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Madison King.

Mr. Nicholson is survived by his loving wife Phyllis Harper Nicholson of Phenix City, AL; two daughters, Vangie King and husband Joey of Salem, AL and Ashley Melton and husband Steven of Deatsville, AL; a sister, Becky Meredith of Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Ashlyn and Cody Melton and Kaleigh (Jalen) and Hunter King; a great-grandchild soon to be born, Brynleigh Melton; several other extended family and friends.
