Jeffrey Alan Brown, 56, of Smith Station, AL died peacefully at his residence on Saturday, September 21, 2019 surrounded by family and friends.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 4:00 PM (EST) on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Calvary Tabernacle Church, 4885 Lee Road 246, Smith Station, AL 36877 with Rev. Jammie Holloway officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Brown was born April 14, 1963 in Newnan, GA, however he was raised in Woodbury, GA and Manchester, GA. He is the son of Thomas F. Brown, Sr., and Mary Ellis Elrod Head. He was a carpenter for Barrett Construction for many years. While he was a carpenter by trade, Jeffrey found great pleasure and relaxation in building things for his family and close friends. He enjoyed fishing, Alabama Football and time with his family. We will miss him greatly, but the things he crafted, and his fond memories will always be in our hearts.
Survivors other than his parents Thomas F. Brown, Sr. (Linda), Jonesboro, GA, and Mary Ellis Elrod Head (Jimmy), Phenix City, AL, include his wife, Bobbie Knowles Brown, Smith Station, AL; daughter, Lauren Brown, W. Palm Beach, FL; a sister, Jenny Dunlap (Robby), Manchester, GA; two brothers, Thomas F. Brown, Jr. (Lisa), Manchester, GA and David Brown (Sandy), Gainesville, GA; special niece, Jessica Dunlap, Manchester, GA; three sisters-in-law, Trish Knowles, Smith Station, Lynne Rogers, (Ron), Salem, AL and Terri McLaughlin, Tuscaloosa, AL; best friend, Dean Sutton, Troy, AL; several uncles, aunts, other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and close friends also survive.
