Jerry Donald Renfroe

Jerry Donald Renfroe, 66, of Columbus, GA passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Columbus Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2015 beginning at 12:00 P.M. EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA, 31907. Pastor Steven Renfroe will be officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Jerry Donald Renfroe was born December 23, 1948 in Columbus, Ga son of the late Shirley Renfroe and Mary Marshall Renfroe. Jerry loved fishing, working on his cars and putting the pedal to the metal. Other than his parents Jerry is preceded in death by sister, Nita Abrahamson, of Columbus, GA. Survivors include, daughters, April Marie Rodgers, Shirley Faye Rogers and husband PJ, of Columbus, GA, Mary Crystal Nicole and Barry Hannah of Columbus, GA; sons, Jerry Dewayne Renfroe and Shane Leroy Allen; sisters, Annie Floyd and husband Sid of Columbus, GA; Catherine McKinley and husband James of Phenix City, AL, and Sarah Dodson, of Phenix City, AL; brothers, Michael Renfroe, of Columbus, GA, Steven Renfroe and late wife Marjori Renfroe of Augusta, GA, Roy Renfroe and wife Rita of Columbus, GA, Rodney Renfroe of Phenix City, AL, and Randy Renfroe of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren; Michael Mort, Eric Christopher Mort, Nathan Patrick Mort, Wesley Lloyd Mort, Shirley Renea Mort, Nicholas Ryan Walden, Kristen Summer Walden, Heather Elizabeth Kate Hannah, Kendall Aurora Star Hannah, Thomas Kyle Rodgers III, and Courtney Jade Rodgers. Jerry also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and many caring friends. He will be remembered as a loving dad and grandfather and a completely selfless man who gave to others even if it meant he went without.
