Jerry W. “the Can Man” Touchton, 68, of Phenix City, AL passed away Saturday, May 19, 2017 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel with Pastor Francis Corbin and Rev. Barry Danner officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.
Mr. Touchton was born February 15, 1949 in Pavo, GA, son of Christine McKinney Touchton and the late Ervin R. Touchton. He worked several years at Big Jim’s Grocery Store and was affectionately know as the Can Man in Smiths Station. Mr. Touchton was a member of Power of Praise Assembly of God.
Other than his mother, Mr. Touchton is survived two sisters, Louise Turner of Salem, AL and Ruthie Brewer of Phenix City, AL; several nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
