Jessie Christine Lisle

Jessie Christine Lisle, 90, of Fortson, GA passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at her home in Fortson.  A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home on Thursday, October 05, 2017 beginning at two o’clock P.M. with Pastor Chase Welch  officiating.  The family will receive friends Thursday, October 05, 2017 at the funeral home from one o’clock P.M. until two o’clock P.M.

Mrs. Lisle was born Jessie Christine Phillips November 25, 1926 in Columbus, GA to the late B. Frank Phillips and Myrtie Williams Phillips.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, the Reverend Bruce V. Lisle and several sisters and brothers.

Mrs. Lisle served the Lord in ministry with her husband for over forty years as a minister’s wife.  She served as secretary for all of Mr. Lisle’s endeavors for the Lord.   She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be forever missed.

Survivors include her two sons, Ron Lisle of Cudjoe Key, FL and Bruce L. Lisle and wife, Annette of Fortson, GA; two daughters, Maria Haymon and husband, Rex of Fortson, GA  and Karla D. Daniel and husband, Joel R. of Smyrna, TN; one sister, Elaine Mann and husband, Bill of Cataula, GA; grandchildren:  Christopher L. Lisle of Fortson, GA, Nicholas P. Lisle and wife, Alicia of Pine Mountain Valley, GA, Brittany M. Hall and husband, Kyle M. of Hamilton, GA, Kristi Lisle of Waverly Hall, GA, Joe Powell and wife, Tammy of Smyrna, GA, Niki Powell Ledford and husband, Landon of Fortson, GA, Mirenda Haymon of Fortson, GA, Mirissa Bryan and husband, Alexander of Fortson GA, Jim A. Carson and wife, Trisha of Nolensville, TN, Kristin M. Blackburn and husband, Robert G. of Largo, FL, Nathan J. Daniel and wife, Nikki of Murfreesboro, TN and Kimberly Lisle of Newark, NJ; and great-grandchildren:  Kassidy N. and Khloe A. Lisle, Garrett and Harley Lisle, Chevy Whitehead, Kinsleigh and Hallie Ledford, Joseph, Samuel and Anna Powell, Carson B., Hailey M. and Aubrey N. Daniel, Nolan W. Blackburn, Kayla E. and Bella M. Carson.
