Jessie Mae Shellman

December 15, 1941 — June 24, 2018

Jessie Mae Page Shellman, 76, of Smiths Station, AL passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 24, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm EDT Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Smith Station Baptist Church with Rev. David Kees officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.

Mrs. Shellman was born December 5, 1941 in Columbus, GA to the late Roy and Annie Mae Page. She retired from Field Crest Mills and enjoyed a peaceful country life with her husband. After Charlie’s passing she enjoyed visiting the YMCA with her daughter Charlotte and best friend Barbara. She loved her family and adored those great-grandchildren. Jessie Mae attended Smith Station Baptist Church and loved the Lord. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and best friend Charlie Frank Shellman and siblings Roy Page Jr, Edward Odell Page, Edna Ledell Page McCollum, Annie Page, and Harold Ray Page.

She is survived by her two daughters, Wanda Lloyd Chapman of Smiths Station, AL, and Charlotte F. Thornton and husband Stanley of Columbus, GA; two grandchildren, Kristin Nichole Lloyd, and Zachary Taylor Lloyd; five great-grandchildren, Aaron James Rodgers, Caden Jackson Lloyd, Dominick Jayce Lloyd, Wyatt Charles Liam Lloyd (aka Charlie-boy) and Harlee Roze Lloyd; siblings, Thelma Page, Chris Wozniak, John Page and Gordon Page; brother-in-law, Henry Shellman and wife Patsy; several nieces, nephews, numerous other loving family members, and many caring friends.
