Jewel Mae Turner Jackson, 86, of Phenix City, Alabama, stepped through the gates of Heaven and into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, August, 18, 2021, at her residence with her family by her side.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM EST on Monday, August 23, 2021, at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL, with Reverend F. L. “Bubba” Copeland, officiating.
Ms. Jackson was born in Josie, AL (Pike County) the daughter of the late Milton Turner and Lessie Mae Hancock Turner. She later moved to Phenix City, AL where she spent most of her adult life. Ms. Jackson loved the Lord and was a member of Crawford Road Baptist Church. Ms. Jackson loved ancestry research and has researched her family for at least ten generations. She also loved cooking, especially her famous chocolate cake. Above all, she loved her family and spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Jackson was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters and one daughter Jacquelyn “Jackie” Jackson.
Ms. Jackson is survived by one son James “Jimmy” Jackson of Smiths Station, AL; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
