Jim Mack “Earl” Lowery, 81, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the comfort of his daughters home in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm EST on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Apostle Donnie Clark officiating. A private interment will follow on Monday at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Mr. Lowery was born October 19, 1936 in Hartford, AL to the late Buddy Mack Lowery and Mamie Adams Lowery. He was retired from Southern Phenix Textile with many years of loyal service. His passion was his love of blue grass music, and he was one of the founding members of the Alabama Blue Grass Boys. He loved football and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He was a Christian by faith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Robbie Strom Lowery.
He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Lowery Trillet and spouse Bridget Trillet of Columbus, GA, one son, Robert E. Lowery and wife Jessica of Phenix City, AL, sister, Louise Peters of Columbus, GA, brother, Ronny Lowery of Black, AL, (8) grandchildren, Lauren Turner (Richard), Dustin Urness, Marlee Urness, Ezekiel Holloway, Nicole Lowery, Andrew Lowery, Micah Stevens, Nathaniel Stevens, and Erica Stevens, (4) great grandchildren, Colt, Ashlyn, Rayleigh, and Emma, several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
