Jimmie Daughtry

Jimmie Daughtry, 74, of Salem, AL passed away Sunday morning, October 15, 2023, in the comfort of his home.
Jimmie was born October 14, 1949, in Coffee County, AL, son of the late Albert Daughtry and Annie Merle Norris. He was employed as a truck driver for Adams Trucking with many years of loyal service. He enjoyed and loved the outdoors; he was always excited every chance he got to coon hunt and fish. Not only just coon hunting but sharing all the tell and tell not stories and events that went along with trips in the woods. He liked watching racing and especially dirt track racing. He enjoyed his friendships and sharing time with family and all his buddies.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie Sue Lenoir and P Joe Kramer and three brothers, Billy Paul Daughtry, Junior Daughtry and Willie Fred Daughtry.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Debra Wambles Daughtry; one daughter, Victoria Daughtry; son, Dalton Daughtry; sister, Margie Daughtry; brother, Ricky Daughtry; two grandchildren, Annie Sue Maricle, and Randie Maricle; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and numerous friends.
His family is planning a private memorial service to be held at a future date with a special place of final rest according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL.
