Jimmy B. Wells 70 of Midland, GA died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House. A graveside service will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 Highway 165, Fort Mitchell, AL on Friday, October 7th, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. EST with Kevin Acre officiating.
Mr. Wells was born November 29,1945 in Bailey, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Tommy Wells and Bell Richardson Wells. After serving in the Vietnam War, Mr. Wells settled down in Columbus, GA, where he worked in the bakery industry as a Maintenance Engineer until he retired. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his nephews, John T. Wells Sr. and his wife, Brenda, Jeff Joyner and wife, Nancy; his five nieces and their spouses: Jackie Wells, Cathy Page (Jim), Lynn Adkins (Don), Jennifer Street (Jamie) and Elizabeth Priddy (Jeffrey); grand Nieces and Nephews: John T Wells Jr, Nicol Wells, Travis Meering, Logan Priddy, Paige Meering, Cameron Street, Landon Street, Ryan Joyner and Jeremy Joyner; and several Great Grand Nieces and Nephews.
His surviving siblings include his sisters, Paulette Casey and Hazel Byrd; and a brother, Billy Wells.
He was loved and will be truly missed by all.
