Jimmy Wayne Williamson

Jimmy Wayne Williamson, 69, of Pittsview, AL passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 in the comfort of his home. Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm EDT on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix city with Rev. Roosevelt Oakes officiating. A private interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Jimmy was born March 6, 1946 in Columbus, GA Raymond Wilson Williamson and Martha Morgan Williamson. He was retired as a carpenter from Carpenters and Millwrights Union in Columbus, GA. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and the outdoors, and was a Baptist by faith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Ray Williamson. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Dianne Vickers Williamson of Pittsview, AL, one sister, Shirley Williamson O'Neal and husband William Frank of Phenix City, AL, one brother, Bobby Monroe Williamson and wife Patricia of Huntsville, AL Mother-in-law, Estelle H. Vickers of Seale, AL; one nephew, Joseph Williamson, and a niece, Jennifer Parker and husband Brian, several extended family members and many caring friends.
