Jo Mann Easom

Jo Mann Easom, 81, of Columbus, GA passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm EST Friday, December 29, 2023, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Rev. Ricky Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm EST at the funeral home in Phenix City.
Mrs. Easom was born August 14, 1942, in Covington County, AL, daughter of the late O. B. Mann and Grace Dubose Mann. She was employed as a dental assistant with Dr. Kowan for many dedicated years and was retired. She was a member of the Dental Assistant Association and a member of Crawford Baptist Church in Phenix City. She enjoyed making paper dolls, gardening, dancing, shopping, QVC deals, and was a do-it-yourself fixer and loved engaging in task project opportunities, but her greatest joy was her family, and sharing special time and memories with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Sidney A. Easom; a great-grandson, Garrett Lisle and her beloved pet dog, Chico.
She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Easom Whitehead of Columbus, GA; son Michael Easom of Columbus, GA; sister, Cheryl Brookshire of Columbus, GA; seven grandchildren, Candice Duke (Brock Poole), Shane Whitehead (Jennifer), Rachael Benefield (Michael), Jason Whitehead, Jessica Whitehead, Chase Whitehead (Daija), and Tiffany Easom; 18 great-grandchildren, Lillian Duke, Zoey Whitehead, Chevy Milstid (Chris), Riley Milstid, Harley Lisle, Madison Whitehead, English Whitehead, Kaden Whitehead, Sydnee Davis, Brianna Whitehead, Dante Davis, Leo Adams, Brianna Poole, Corry Poole, Kylie Cole, Tessa Pass, Christian Peoples, and Emerald Jones; several nieces, nephews, extended family, a special beloved friend, Cynthia Wilder, numerous other caring friends, and her companion pet dog, Lil Bit.
