Joann Pollard, age 82, resident of Seale, Alabama, went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 9, 2020. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home on Saturday, March 14, 2020, 2 p.m. with Sister Frances Corbin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 1-2 p.m. Private interment will be Fort Mitchell National Cemetery on Monday, March 16, 2020.
Mrs. Pollard, daughter of the late Hubert Lacoy Cobb and Mildred Mazel Combs Cobb, was born February 3, 1938 in Scottsboro, Alabama. She was a homemaker and Assembly of God by faith. Mrs. Pollard was a lady that always put Christ as the forefront of her life. She loved to sew and study genealogy, was excited about being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and lived a life of always taking care of her family. The family remembers her as a lady that loved our Lord and Savior with all her heart and wanted to always share the gospel.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Pollard was preceded in death by her husband James Floyd Pollard. She is survived by two sons, Barton Preston Pollard and Jay Pollard, both of Seale, Alabama; her beloved cat, Meri Belle; sister, Mildred Connelly of Hackleburg, Alabama; daughter-in-law, Jan Pollard of Seale, Alabama; three granddaughters, Chasity Burton and her husband Kelly of Clarksville, Tennessee, Tiffany Siegler and her husband George of Daleville, Alabama, and Candice Marchand and her husband Jody of Ozark, Alabama; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; aunt; uncle; nieces; nephews; many other relatives and friends.
