Joanne Hall Brewer

JoAnne Hall Brewer, 73, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Phenix City Healthcare in Phenix City, AL.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EDT Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City, AL.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brewer was born March 23, 1942 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Joe Preston Hall and Mary Louise Osborne Hall. She worked over 14 years with the Phenix City Board of Education in the lunchroom and over 10 years with Enrichment Services in Columbus, GA.  Mrs. Brewer was a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church but also served as a daycare worker in Central Baptist Church, Lakewood Baptist Church and Summerville Baptist Church.  She was a mother to all the kids in the neighborhood and the different daycares.

She is survived by two daughters, Robin A. Brewer of Phenix City, AL and Nancy A. Brewer Horne and husband Gerald of Dothan, AL; one son, Wallace A. Brewer of Eufaula, AL; one sister, Jenny Lynn Hall Dempsey of Phenix City, AL;  3 grandchildren, Hannah and Nathan Brewer and Madison Horne; many extended family and caring friends.
