Mr. John Keith Berry, 64, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Friday August 2, 2024, at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am EDT Thursday August 8, 2024, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL. Interment with military honors will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 am EDT, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
John was born in Memphis, TN on September 1, 1959 to the late John Franklin Berry and Ruth Ann Martin Berry. He grew up in Columbus, GA and attended Baker High School. Later, John joined the U. S. Marine Corp and proudly served his country. After his military service, he worked in Sales and Real Estate. John was a lifelong Christian and loved the Lord. He enjoyed the simple things in life and had a natural talent for woodwork and design.
John was a joy to all that knew him and his abundance of love to everyone was unconditional. He was a devoted husband, son, father, brother and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Franklin Berry and a nephew, Keith Berry.
John is survived by his mother Ruth Berry, his wife, Kim Berry; children, Jaclyn Mixon (Troy), Jenna Jannazo (Joe), Lane Yarbrough (Evan), Lance Danielson (Ashley), Logan Danielson (Jason); his brother, Larry Berry (Maureen), Edward Berry (Frances); grandchildren, Braden Jannazo, Kate Jannazo, Khloe Mixon, Sadie Danielson, Scarlett Jannazo, Landree Danielson, as well as, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Flowers are welcome to be delivered to Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL.
