John “Jack” Henderson, 93, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Phenix City Health Care.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST, on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Vance Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Henderson was born in Camphill, AL, the son of the late R.K. Henderson and the late Carrie Dyson Henderson. He was a US Army Combat Veteran who fought in the Battle of the Bulge in Normandy during WWII.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Betty Ogletree Henderson; daughter, Susan Henderson Smith, husband Kenny; son John Richard Henderson; granddaughter, Amy Wankmuller Hughes, husband Steve; extended family members and many caring friends.
