John Ensley Lowery, Iii

John Ensley Lowery, III, 68, of Pittsview, AL died at Piedmont Midtown, Columbus, GA on Saturday, February 27, 2021.
A private Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Lowery was born March 19, 1952 in Columbus, GA son of the late John Ensley Lowery, Jr. and Virginia Burt Lowery. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran and had retied from the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller in Salt Lake City, UT. Coaching, volunteering and all aspects of the soccer teams his daughters and grandchildren played on was a great joy for John. He was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. We will remember him as a prankster, and a “talker” who never met a stranger. He taught us to love unconditionally and give generously. We will miss him greatly, but his fond memories and wise ways will always be cherished in our hearts and memories.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Elizabeth Ann Parry Lowery, Pittsview, AL; three daughters, Fern Piper (Kevin), Valley, AL, Stephanie Woodward (Bobby), Columbus, GA and Jessica Lowery, Pittsview, AL; one brother, William M. Lowery and his wife, Jeanne; his real pride, four grandchildren, Chalyb Lenker-Piper, Skylar Piper, Peyton Woodward and Abigail Woodward; several other family members and friends also survive.
