John H. “Johnny” Anderson, 51, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully early Friday morning, December 4, 2015 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.
A celebration home going service will take place on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 11:00 am EST graveside at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Boyd Cochran officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.
Johnny was born February 27, 1964 in Kingman, AZ to Clifford H. Anderson and Shirley Rodgers Anderson. He had work with Heatcraft in Columbus, GA and was a member of Pierce Chapel Assembly of God Church in Phenix City. He enjoyed singing karaoke, especially singing Elvis songs, Johnny was a big sports fan, and he loved the Miami Dolphins football, Boston Celtic’s basketball, and enjoyed fellowship with people and was always making someone laugh.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Elizabeth S. “Beth” Anderson of Phenix City, AL, his father, Clifford H. Anderson and wife Cynthia of Tucson, AZ, mother, Shirley Rodgers Anderson and husband Steve Weinberg of Phoenix, AZ, one son, Jacob Presley Anderson of Harris County, GA; brothers, Robert E. Anderson and wife Catherine of Jacksonville, FL, and Casey Weinberg of Phoenix, AZ, mother-in-law, Linda S. Baker, numerous other loving family members, church family, and many caring friends.
