John "Johnny" William Davis

John “Johnny” William Davis, 63, of Columbus, GA went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 11, 2016.  A graveside service will be held at Riverdale Cemetery, 1000 Victory Drive, Columbus, GA on Thursday, April 14, 2016 beginning at 2:00 P.M. EST, with Pastor Ken Savage officiating.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. EST.  

Johnny was born July 10, 1952 in Columbus, GA to the parents of the late Marvin Davis and Margaret Retta Moore Norell.  He served in the United States Marines.  He also worked at Swift Mill and was a painter. 

Other than his parents, Johnny is predeceased by grandparents, John William Moore and Luella Berryhill Moore; and his mothers:  Margaret Retta Moore Norell and Alma Alice Moore Sheehan.

Survivors include his loving wife, Judy Smith Davis; two daughters:  Jody Lynn Davis (Alex),  and Brandy Davis Montroy (Jeremy) and their three children; a son, John William Davis (April) and their four children; two step sons, James Smith (Brandy) and their five children and Gordy Smith (Dana) and their four children; a stepdaughter, Sue Smith and her three children; twelve great grandchildren; A sister, Mary Jo Harrell (George) of Virginia Beach, VA and their seven children, spouses, twenty-three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a brother, Stephen Warren and his three children and five grandchildren; brothers in law, Bobby Wood and Rex Wood; many cousins, nieces, nephews and two special friends:  Bruce Miller and Ken Savage.
