John Kenneth Fulford, Sr., 82, of Phenix City, AL passed away late Sunday evening, September 3, 2017 at Kindred Hospice in Columbus, GA
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon EDT, on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Ladonia Baptist Church, with Reverend Greg Hyche officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 11:00 am at Ladonia Baptist Church in Phenix City.
Mr. Fulford was born on September 9, 1934, in Clayhatchee, AL, the son of the late Grady and Ethel Windham Fulford. He was retired from Lummus Cotton Gin in Columbus, GA with almost 40 years of service and was a member of Ladonia Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, and gardening. Mr. Fulford was devoted to his church and to his family. He was a man of great character. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his beautiful bride of 63 years, Ida Elizabeth Odom Fulford whom also just recently passed; he is also preceded by three brothers, Clint Fulford, Carlos Fulford, and Rex Fulford, and two sisters, Ebra bond and Doris Mobley
He is survived by two sons, Ken Fulford, Jr. (Beverly) and Neal Fulford (Janice), both of Phenix City, AL, one brother, Lomax Fulford and wife Julia; grandchild, Kim Fulford Tillery (Chris); two great grandchildren, Kendall Tillery and Collin Tillery; extended family members and many caring friends.
