Mrs. Johnnie “Sue” Riley, 72, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 5:00 pm EDT on Friday afternoon, July 27, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel (Vance Brooks Funeral Home) in Phenix City with Pastor Jonathan Taylor officiating. A private interment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 4:00 to 5:00 pm EDT one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Riley was born February 7, 1946 in Blakely, GA to the late John Lee Trawick and Mary Bruner Trawick Palmer. She was retired from Fieldcrest Mills in Columbus, GA with many faithful years of loyal service. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, and the outdoors, but her greatest joy was her love for her grandchildren. She was a Christian by faith. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny Grantham, and two brothers, Lee Roy Trawick, and Tommy Trawick, and a sister, Helen Marthers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Wilburn “Lee” Riley, daughter, Tonya Sanders and husband Jerry, step-children, Jeffery Riley and wife Kendall, Jared Riley, and Cheyenne Riley; grandson , Blake, and numerous step-grandchildren, two precious great grandchildren, Eli, and Sydney, and three more on the way, and a host of extended family members and many caring friends.
