Jonathan David Blackwell

Jonathan David Blackwell, 26, of Phenix City, AL died at his residence Wednesday, August 14, 2019.

 Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Norman Garrison officiating. A private committal will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jonathan was born January 18, 1993 in Columbus, GA son of Lisa Jobson Pruitt and the late Earl Eugene Blackwell, Jr.  He worked for Elite Tree Service as a Grounds Man. Jonathan enjoyed playing all kinds of video games, watching Auburn Football and fishing, all with his family and friends. He also enjoyed playing softball. While his time with us was short, we will forever cherish his memories in our hearts forever.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine (Cathy) Brewster Blackwell, Phenix City, AL;  his daughter, Savannah Anderson; six siblings, Charles Scarborough, Brandon Blackwell, Freda White, Andy Sigler, Stephanie Oaks and Alexandrea (Alex) Sigler; his mother, Lisa Jobson Pruitt; mother-in-law, Gennifer Anderson (Mick); his Elite Tree Service Family; several other family members and close friends also survive.
