Josef Richard

Josef Richard, 89, of Phenix City, Al, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at his home.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm (EST) on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Lakeview Memory Gardens Phenix City, Alabama with Reverend Michael David officiating. The internment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, March 4, 2022, from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Josef was born on December 12, 1932, in Limburg, Germany. He was a very skilled carpenter and was employed at Woodcraft by Frank McDonald, until his retirement. Josef was a loving husband and father. He and his wife loved to travel and see the world. Josef was a true craftsman; he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 60 years, Hildegard M Richard; and daughter, Petra Richard.

He is survived by son, Steven J. Richard and wife Debora, as well as several extended family and caring friends.
