Joseph Lee Dudley, 54, of Box Springs, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2016 in the comfort of his home.
A celebration of life memorial service with Military Honors will be held 11:00 am EDT on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church in Box Springs with Rev. Boyd Cochran officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
Joseph was born September 21, 1961 in Albuquerque, NM to Shirley Nell Stewart Gaylord and the late Dan Arthur Dudley. He was employed with Lott Roofing, and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was known as “The Pallet Man” and enjoyed sharing family time. He was a Baptist by faith. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Ann Dudley, and a granddaughter, Braylee Leann Giglio Crossway.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Nell Stewart, his loving and devoted wife, Patricia Lynne Dudley, one daughter, Maegan Crossway, sons, Joseph Derek Ross Dudley, Timothy Clark, and Cory Crossway, two sisters, Regina Sue Holloway, and Melissa Lynn Holloway, one brother, Dan Dudley and fiancé Cindy Feeler, two granddaughters, and one grandson on the way, mother-in-law, Adalia R. Johnston, numerous extended family members, and many caring friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Valley Rescue Mission in Columbus, GA for the services provided by them for local homeless Veterans. Online condolences may be made at www.vancememorialchapel.net
