Joseph Winston Brown, Sr.

Joseph Winston Brown, Sr., 80, of Smith Station, AL passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in Opelika.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EDT Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery at 3 pm EDT. The family will receive friends for 1 hour before the service.

Mr. Brown was born May 18, 1935 in Montgomery, AL to the late Thomas H. Brown and Minnie Larry Jordan. He is preceded in death by his wife Olivia Marion Brown, daughter, Melissa Owens, and siblings Sarah Nell Brown, Hula Sue Brown and Billy Joe Brown.                                    .

He is survived by his children, Joseph Brown, Jr., Julie Petticrew, Tonia Guidry, Tina Teriot, Lydia Guidry, Noah Guidry, Kerry Guidry, Shannon Guidry and Cindy Guidry; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
