Joshua James Lane

Joshua James Lane, 32, Columbus, Ga. went to be with his heavenly Father on January 3rd, 2014. He was born on November, 15th 1981 in Galesburg, Illinois. Josh is preceded in death by two brothers, Jamie and Chris Lane. He is survived by his loving parents Michael and Rachael Lane of Columbus, Ga. Sisters Michelle Lane McCracken (Brian) of Kansas, Suzanne Lane (Bryan Vaughn) of Columbus, Ga, and his beloved dog Bentley. He is also survived by many caring aunts, uncles and cousins who loved and prayed for him. He had many great friends including Bryan Vaughn, Matt Hawk and the Garcia family. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He perfected the art of his bricklayer profession. He loved the New York Jets, Alabama football, throwing darts, shooting his guns, listening to music, watching movies, gardening, grilling, and making amazing homemade barbecue sauce, cooking wonderful meals for those he loved. He was a protector and known for his jokes and giving heart. A celebration will be held Friday, January10, 2014, beginning at 12:00 PM EST at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Reverend Tom Weise officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the mass beginning at 10:00 AM EST at the church according to Vance-Brooks Funeral Home. The family would like to thank everyone for all the thoughts and prayers from friends, family and strangers.
