Sra. Joshua Ryan Sanes

SrA (USAF) Joshua Ryan Sanes, age 32, resident of Salem, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020.  Graveside services are scheduled at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, 3 p.m. with Reverend David Wilson officiating, according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 9, 2020 from 6-8 p.m.

Joshua, son of Jackie Jay Sanes and Teresa Lynn (White) Sanes, was born December 24, 1987 at Fort Benning, Georgia.  After high school, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force with three tours in the middle east during Operation Enduring Freedom.  After serving his country, Joshua began a career as a Diesel Technician and was last employed at Sanes Diesel Repair. He was a member of Avalon Woods Baptist Church, Seale, Alabama, where he was baptized.  Joshua loved to draw, was a huge fan of Superman, and grew up being an avid Georgia Bulldogs football fan.  The family remembers him as a caring and kind person to anyone he met, and a man who loved his children and family immensely.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Peter L. and Merita M. White; paternal grandfather, Jack D. Sanes; and step grandmother, Patricia L. Sanes.

Joshua is survived by his parents, Jackie J. and Teresa L. Sanes of Salem, AL; four sons, Joshua Chase Sanes, Ryan Chance Sanes, Carson Jay Sanes, Jeremiah Jayce Sanes, mother of his children and friend, Ashley Glover, all of Phenix City, AL; two sisters, Danielle K. Sanes of Ladonia, AL and Jackie Elizabeth Sanes of Salem, AL; three brothers, James Joshua Sanes and his wife Tiffany of Phenix City, AL, Jacob Daniel Sanes and his wife Alissa Marie of Columbus, GA, and Jason Matthew Sanes of Salem, AL; paternal grandmother, Polly M. Henderson of Columbus, GA; many other relatives and friends.
