Joyce Annette Kinney Tyler

On Monday, February 17, 2020, Joyce Annette Kinney Tyler (Bailey) was welcomed into the arms of her Savior. She was born March 6, 1925 in Chambers County, Alabama daughter of the late Charles and Ollie Bailey.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL on Thursday February 20, 2020 with Bro. Bud Passmore and Bro. Curt Mize officiating. A private interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Annette pursued and achieved her dream of becoming a nurse and worked at Cobb Hospital for many years until she retired. She spent her retirement years caring for others, taking care of grandchildren and gardening. She was a faithful and devoted member of Concord Baptist Church.  Mrs. Annette was a very strong, independent lady who enjoyed helping others, working outside and canning vegetables. Her vivacious spirit will be missed by all those that knew her.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by John Thomas Kinney and Max Tyler.

Mrs. Annette is survived by her three sons, Charles Kinney (Rita) of Barnesville, GA. Johnny Kinney (Faye) and Paul Kinney (Kathy) both of Smiths Station, AL; One step-son, David Tyler of Phenix City, AL; sister Mary Ann Garnto (Kentucky); four grandchildren, Melanie Rathel (David), Robert Kinney, Karen Mercado (Lemy), Amanda Bragg (Kerry); nine great grandchildren, Kerra Aikens (Dylan), Miranda Hastings (Jonathan), Jordan Bragg, Hannah Rathel, Ethan Mercado, Levi Kinney, Marshall Kinney, Graham Rathel and Nora Kinney; two great-great grandchildren, Cayson Aikens and Leighton Aikens.
