Joyce Lee Herman

Joyce Lee Herman, 89, of Phenix City, Al entered her heavenly home on November 4, 2024. A visitation will be held for Joyce on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL 36867, followed by a graveside service officiated by Pastor Marvin Minton at 2:00 pm at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36867.

Joyce Herman was born on March 26, 1935, to the late Robert and Louise Mayberry. Joyce worked for Southern Foods until retiring and joining Central High School where she worked in the cafeteria for 20+ years until retiring at 83. She attended Crawford Road Baptist Church for many years. Joyce will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. 

Joyce Lee Herman is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Dannie “Dutch” Lester Herman; parents, Robert and Louise Mayberry; brothers, Eugene Mayberry, C.W. Mayberry, and Douglas Mayberry; sister, Annebelle Kile; and grandson, Chase Harris.

Joyce Lee Herman is survived by her sons, Tim Herman (Tonie) of Phenix City, AL, and Dannie Ray Herman (Teresa) of Phenix City, AL; sisters, Dorothy Rhodes (Lane) of Shreveport, LA, Emma White of Bedford, TX, Francis Hamilton (Wade) of Ruston, LA, Hattie Myers (James) of Vicksburg, MS, and Pauline Jinks of Dunn, LA; One aunt, Irma Parker of Robson Ranch, TX; grandchildren, Brad Herman of Charlotte, NC, Megan Richards (Dusty) of Clayton, AL, Amanda Bramley (Robert) of Phenix City, AL, Alicia Bonner of Phenix City, AL, Kym English (Bob) of Phenix City, AL, Lane Edwards of Phenix City, AL, and Crystal Belew of Phenix City, AL; great-grandchildren, Xander, Hudson, Olivia, Hayden, Rhett, Lewis, Connelly, Henley, and Daniel; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
