Juanita Marie Wall

Juanita Marie Brassell Wall, 76, of Columbus, GA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon EST Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Grant Parker officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  There will be a Rosary Friday evening at 6:00 pm EST at the funeral home, and visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon EST with the service beginning at noon at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.

Mrs. Wall was born July 5, 1940 in Hicksville Long Island, NY to the late Jack C. Brassell and M. Alice Lamerouex Brassell. She had worked for many years with Shummey and Associates, and Woodruff Robinson Insurance Company.  She had a deep passion for animals, especially her own pets.  She enjoyed traveling with her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family deeply.  She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and also had the opportunity to attend Epworth United Methodist Church in Phenix City with her daughter.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Wayne” Wall, one brother, Douglas Brassell, and a sister, Barbara Brassell.

She is survived by her daughter, Wendee Merritt of Phenix City, AL, one brother, Al Brassell and wife Barbara of Jacksonville, FL; (2) grandchildren, Leslie Merritt and fiancé Kenneth Ward and Julie Merritt, her niece Christy Retana and husband William and their children Christian and Rachel, her sister in law Sue Brassell plus other nieces and nephews, cousins and very dear friends that she loved dearly.  Online condolences may be made at www.vancememorialchapel.net
