Judith “Judy” Sorrels Harrison

Judith “Judy” Sorrels Harrison, 78, of Columbus, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at her residence. Graveside services will be held at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Saturday, October 16, 2021 beginning at 1:00 PM with Rev. Barry Danner officiating.

Judy was born on March 27, 1943 in Phenix City, AL to the late Albert B. Sorrels and Constance Johnston Sorrels. She was employed at West Central Georgia where she retired after a successful career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Judy was a member of First Assembly of God in Phenix City, AL where she had developed many special friendships.

There was no doubt that Judy greatly loved her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought joy to her heart and a smile to her face. Judy will always be remembered as a woman with a giving spirit and genuine love for others. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Survivors include her daughter Tracy Renee Pate of Holiday, FL; son Greg Harrison of Columbus, GA; sister Gloria Claridy (Franklin) of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren Brandon Pate, Blake Patterson, Danielle Wallace, Keleigh Harrison, and Cameron Harrison; and great-grandchildren Elijah McDaniel, Ezra McDaniel, and Theo Plummer Pate. Other than her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her husband Willliam “Bill” Harrison and brother Jack Sorrels.
