Julia Mann Tidwell, 94, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, November 10, 2016 at Phenix City Health Care.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 pm EST on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Grant Parker officiating according to Vance Memorial Chapel. There will no formal visitation, but family and friends are welcome to visit on Sunday afternoon between 1:00 to 4:00 pm EST at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tidwell was born April 27, 1922 in Clayton, AL to Charlie Mann and Dell McCoy Mann. She was retired from Reeves Brothers Textiles and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, family, fellowship with her church family and was known as a lady of quality and great character. She was loved dearly by her family and will be missed, but never forgotten. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert Tidwell, one sister, and five brothers.
She is survived by a nephew whom she loved as her own son, Earl Mann and wife Linda of Smiths Station, AL, sister-in-law, Juanita Phillips of Phenix City, AL, and host of other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
