Justin S. Mault, 27, of Smiths Station, AL passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, while at his home in Smiths Station.
Justin was born March 17, 1996, at Fort Hood, TX to Michael Mault and Kristin (Bodenhamer) Barber. He grew up in Smiths Station, AL, and graduated from SSHS in 2014. He was employed with V2 Composites in Auburn, AL and was excited about the many opportunities that his company was exposing and teaching with different types of composite materials. Justin enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing, reptiles, and his dogs. Justin was an avid comic book and movie fan and enjoyed attending opening night premiers of the latest release. His favorite DC character was The Flash, and he enjoyed collecting memorabilia as a hobby. Additionally, he was a fan of The Ohio State University football team. In his family, Justin was the first born, first grandson, and first nephew. Justin was a kind and loving big brother, affectionately remembered as a gentle giant with a huge heart by his family.
He is survived by his mother, Kristin Barber, and husband Chris whom raised and loved Justin as his son, and in return, Justin respected, admired, loved, and cherished him as his dad. He is also survived by his biological father, Michael Mault, of Houston, TX. In addition, he is survived by his sisters and brothers, Ansley Mault of Columbus, GA, Ashlyn Mault, Connor Barber, Carson Barber, and Charlotte Barber of West Point, NY, maternal grandmother, Deborah Hutto, bonus grandmother, Kathy Sullivan, numerous other loving family members, co-workers, and supervisors, especially CEO Mr. Kevin Horne. Finally, he leaves behind his life-long friend Hannah Jones, with whom he always shared a special bond.
His loving family has held a private celebration of life ceremony in his memory.
