Kara Meagan Kennedy Powers, 23, of Phenix City, AL passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at her home in Phenix City.
Funeral services will held at 11:00 am EDT Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Pastor Randy Comer officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.
Kara was born December 17, 1993 in Atlanta, GA to David Wayne Kennedy and Julie Lynn Forrest Kennedy of Salem, AL, Kara was working with American Trucking Driving Academy and was a member of River of Life Church in Phenix City. Kara graduated from Trinity School with honors. She loved her children like no other could. She left her mark on all who knew her and all who knew her loved her. Her smile brought life to any room. She laughed, loved and lived life to its fullest. There was nothing too hard for her. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Helen Kennedy.
Other than her parents, she is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Dean Powers of Phenix City, AL, her children, Kylie Meagan Black, Hunter Brett Powers, Cameron Michael Powers, Cody Ellis Powers, and Chase Powers, sister, Skylar Kennedy, brother, Preston Kennedy, paternal grandfather, Wayne Kennedy, maternal grandfather and grandmother, Donald and Jerlane Forrest, and father and mother-in-law, Larry and Lory Powers, and a host of extended family, church family, and many caring friends.
