Katherine “Kathy” Cecilia Upton Duell

Katherine “Kathy” Cecilia Upton Duell, 52 of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday afternoon at the Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 am EDT Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with James Eiland officiating. A private interment will held by her family at a later date.

Kathy was born August 9, 1961 in Columbus, GA to Gladys Brown Mays and the late Ed Upton. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed sharing time with her family. She loved camping and watching dirt track racing.

She is survived by her mother, Gladys Brown Mays of Salem, AL; her loving and devoted husband of 34 years, William H. “Billy” Duell, Sr. of Phenix City, AL, her children, William “Billy H. Duell, Jr., Bobby Earl Duell and Wendy Cecilia Duell, two sisters, Diane Graves and husband Curtis and Marilyn Moore and husband David, one brother, Richard Earl Upton, Sr. and wife Louise.
