Kathleen M. Mcclure

Kathleen Mary McClure, 68, of Salem, AL passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.

 A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm EDT on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel (Vance Brooks Funeral Home) in Phenix City with Pastor Willie J. Burton officiating.  A private committal will follow at Newsome Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

 Mrs. McClure was born August 12, 1949 in Northampton, MA to the late COL Paul Michael Foley, Sr. and Rose Patricia Reynolds Foley.  Her childhood was spent as an Army brat and lived in various Army posts throughout the US and Germany.  Kathleen graduated from Incarnate Word High School, San Antonio, TX in 1967.  She had worked for the Russell County Mental Health Center with 20 years of service.  She enjoyed going to bluegrass music festivals, camping, tending to all her hummingbirds and the seasonable joy they brought, and spending quality time with all her family.  Kathleen was Catholic by faith and always had Jesus in her heart.  Other than her parents, Mrs. McClure was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Jean Foley, and a precious grandson, Kaleb McClure.

 Kathleen is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Kenneth “Kenny” McClure, children, Margaret Adams and husband Drew,  Lisa Tadlock, Joseph McClure, Bonny Howell and husband Dave, Karl McClure, and Alan McClure and wife Donna, one sister, Patricia Anne Foley, four brothers, Paul Michael Foley Jr, Matthew John Foley and wife Pam, Mark Thomas Foley, and Mathew Sean Foley; (5) grandchildren, Zachary Tadlock, Matthew Woodsworth and wife Michelle, Gabrielle McClure, Taylor Eaton, and Erin Howell, (5) great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, numerous extended family members, and many caring friends.
