Kathy Ann Godwin

Kathy Ann Godwin, 56, of Fortson, GA passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EDT Thursday, May 28, 2015 with Pastor Randy Comer officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm CDT / 3:00 pm EDT Thursday afternoon at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Dothan, AL. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home. Kathy was born July 1, 1958 in Columbus, GA to John D. Godwin and Dorothy D. Rowl Godwin. She had worked with Doctors Hospital in Columbus, GA and was a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed arts and crafts, crocheting, needle work, traveling, especially visiting the mountains, family, and she was a Daddy's girl. She is survived by her parents, John D. Godwin and Dorothy D. Rowl Godwin of Smiths Station, AL, sister, Jackie Dale Harvey and husband Eugene of Smiths Station, AL, brother, Gary Lee Godwin of Smiths Station, AL. Friend and companion, Lee Barfield, nephew, Michael Harvey, Uncles, Jimmy Lee Godwin, and Ray Godwin (Aunt Janice Godwin), several extended family members and many caring friends.
