Kenneth “Ken” Ray Day, Jr., 56, of Phenix City, AL passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Columbus Specialty Hospital in Columbus, GA
A celebration of life memorial service will be held 2:00 pm EST Monday, February 22, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Scott Tucker officiating. A private interment will follow at a later date. The family will receive friends at the memorial service.
Ken was born June 29, 1959 in Troy, AL to the late Kenneth Ray Day, Sr. and Mary Eleanor Williams Day. He was employed as a Pharmacist with Walgreens in Columbus, GA. He was a graduate of Auburn University and a huge Auburn fan. He enjoyed playing golf, and tinkering with different computer technical projects. He loved visiting the Springer Theater, Broadway dancing, acting, and singing. He was Presbyterian by faith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Day.
He is survived by his daughter, Ellie Adams and husband, Dr. Raleigh Adams of Birmingham, AL son, William Day and wife, Sarah of Phenix City, AL; brother, Robert Day and wife Susan of Dothan, AL, father and mother-in-law, Paul and Gwen Belcher, nephews, Dallas Day, and Jeffrey Day, numerous other extended loving family members, and many caring friends.
