Kenneth Leon Tremain, 88, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his home.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm EDT Friday, January 19, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel with Pastor Wes Greeley officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm EDT, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Mr. Tremain was born November 11, 1929 in Flint, MI, son of the late Otis Harvey Tremain and Lula Mae Wheelock Tremain. He retired from the United States Air Force with over 22 years of service, where he worked as a Civil Engineer. He is a member of New Hope Revival Ministries in Smiths Station, AL.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Victor Tremain and Otis Tremain.
Mr. Tremain is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Anna Louise West Tremain; three daughters, Faith Tremain Strable and husband Wayne of Demopolis, AL, Hope Tremain Risher and husband Robert of Stockbridge, GA and Joy Tremain Cassity and husband Danny of Gallion, AL; one sister, Dorothy Knoll of West Branch, MI; one brother, Harold Tremain and wife Mary Louise of Mt. Pleasant, MI; grandchildren, Vicki Walker (Richard), Chris Strable (Brandy), Greg Strable (Stephanie), John Risher (Amanda), Rebecca Hale (Jason), Jason Cassity (Jennifer), Ryan Cassity (Jennifer) and Rachel Cassity Wynne (Tripp); 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; several other extended family and caring friends.
